In the workflow process of MRI, the receptionist is in charge of handling the scheduling of the patient, getting preliminary information about them such as personal information, insurance, questions about the patient’s health, etc. The receptionist is also responsible for asking key safety questions that may preclude the patient from having an MRI or may require additional information for clarification.

It monitors scheduling conflicts between patients as well as time that may have been re-served for scheduled maintenance of the MRI machine. Retrieves any past information stored of the patient so as to re-duce the number of redundant questions asked. It will also minimize the number of mistakes made by the receptionist while entering the data. The agent will customize a questionnaire that the receptionist must go through with the patient based on the previous history and the current rule-out for which the patient was referred.
